The Langley Fine Arts school is a K-12 school located in Walnut Grove. This school’s mission is to provide students with a comprehensive education with a heavy emphasis on fine arts. Students who would like to attend this school must submit an application. Successful applicants will go through a process of interviews in order to determine if they are eligible for enrollment at the school. LFA is a great school for those who are interested in pursuing a career in the arts. It should be noted that students are still required to take math, science, English, and social studies.
Yorkson Creek Middle School is located in the Willoughby/Yorkson area. This school teaches children in grades 6-8. Students enrolled at Yorkson Creek have the opportunity to partake in a number of athletic and fine art programs! Furthermore, parents can choose to sign their children up for hot lunch through the hot lunch program. At Yorkson Creek, school begins at 8:20 am and ends at 2:38 pm each day.
- Peter Ewart Middle School (Willoughby/Yorkson)
Peter Ewart Middle School is another middle school located in the Willoughby/Yorkson area. Like most middle schools in Langley, this school caters to students in grades 6-8. At Peter Ewart, school begins at 8:20 am and ends at 2:38 pm. Students at this school have plenty of opportunities to join clubs, and sports and enroll in some awesome electives! Peter Ewart is one of the largest middle schools in sd25, with an annual student body of 800.
More Middle Schools in Langley
H.D. Stafford Middle School is located in the City of Langley. This school teaches students in grades 6-8, with the majority of grade 8’s transitioning into Langley Secondary School. HDSMS boasts a consistent school population of approximately 630. This means good class sizes with better opportunities for one-on-one help. Moreover, students enrolled at this school have lots of different elective, academic, and athletic opportunities.
Langley Fundamental Middle and Secondary School is located in the Murrayville area. LFMSS has a student body of roughly 700 students from grades 6-12. This school was formerly two different schools until they merged in 1995. At LFMSS, there is a great emphasis on fundamental education and a focus on conventional values and academics. LFMSS is an excellent school that provides incredible opportunities for students.
Betty Gilbert Middle School is located in the Aldergrove area. This school teaches children in grades 6-8. Students enrolled at Betty Gilbert have the opportunity to join a number of athletic and fine art programs. In addition, the student body at BGM is fairly small with an average yearly enrollment of 480 students. This is ideal for those who prefer small class sizes.
